MEET OUR incredible ALLEN MUSIC TEACHERS
+ Zac Adams, Piano Lessons
Greetings, I'm Zac! My musical odyssey commenced in the United Kingdom, where, at the tender age of 5, I received my first guitar and keyboard as thoughtful gifts from my parents. Growing up in a musical family, everyone around me possessed skills in various instruments, spanning from the guitar to the saxophone and violin.
As my passion for music flourished, at 18, I embarked on my academic journey at Loughborough College in England. During this phase, I engaged in numerous musical collaborations with college buddies, forming bands that graced the stages of local pubs and clubs. For more information about Zac click here!
+ Joseph Drake, DRUM lessons
From the time I received a small red drum set at just 5 years old, music became the heartbeat of my life. Growing up in a household filled with melodies, thanks to my bass-playing Dad, choir-singing Mom, and keyboard-talented sister, I naturally gravitated towards drums. Surrounded by music at home and in church, I found myself incredibly lucky to have such a supportive circle.
One pivotal moment in my teenage years ignited my passion further when I discovered the extraordinary drummer, Vinnie Colaiuta. His unique style captivated me, sparking a deep interest that led to dedicated study. In the vibrant musical scene of Old Town, Maine, I thrived in a jazz band that annually competed at Berklee College of Music, earning us recognition and trophies at various competitions.
+ Jun Tatsuoka, Piano lessons
My musical journey began at the age of 3! My parents started me in piano lessons first and then in guitar lessons at age 6. Since those early beginnings, music has remained a central passion and focus for me. Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember!
Over the years, my musical journey has led me all over the world - from Japan, to California, to Texas.
While I was in California, I had the opportunity to operate my own teaching studio in Big Sur. Also, while in California, I had the privilege of working with The Beach Boys. I ran the recording studio for one of The Beach Boys, and also toured with them for a few years. This was a highlight of my musical career!
+ Connor Veteto, Guitar lessons
My journey into music began over 14 years ago playing acoustic and electrical guitar and singing. I’ve sung and played professionally since 2009 for worship bands, with Texas original music and cover bands – The BoomBachs and The Enablers. I love playing modern and classic rock, pop, gospel, hip-hop and funk. Experiencing music is my greatest passion with soccer being a close second!
In studying music, my high school music theory instructor was my greatest influence. He not only inspired me in my struggle to read and write music, he taught me the importance of aural skills and how to use my ear as a tool in learning music. This changed my approach to reading and writing music and the way I teach. He helped me to discover for myself what made learning music fun and memorable. Read more about Connor here!
+ Darrion Hall, GUITAR lessons
Hey there! My name is Darrion and I'm so thrilled to tell you a bit about myself. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and it all started when I was just a little 3-year-old. I remember hearing the song "Flesh and the Power it Holds" and I was instantly hooked! It helped that my dad was a bassist in a metal band and had a deep love for metal music. Together, my parents introduced me to amazing bands like Pantera and Alice in Chains.
When I turned 10, I picked up the guitar and it became my true passion.
+ Kathleen Westbrook, Voice lessons
"I've been singing for as long as I can remember - music has always been a huge part of my life! I started writing music at the young age of 5, and by the time I was 7 years old, I was already eager to learn more about songwriting. One of my earliest musical experiences was singing in a church choir from the ages of 7 to 10. During that time, I learned a lot about the different aspects of vocal technique, including head, chest, and mix voice.

+ Zoe Romero, Piano & Voice lessons
Hello! I'm Zoe, and music has been a huge part of my life ever since I started playing piano at the age of 12. Along the way, I also discovered my passion for singing, which led me to explore different genres and styles. I had the amazing opportunity to attend a Summer Gospel Program at Berklee College, which deepened my love for music even further. I have performed with my own band at incredible venues like the House of Blues and festivals like South By Southwest, all of which have shaped me as an artist.
+ Savannah Bruning, Voice lessons
I've been singing for as long as I can remember, but started my musical journey officially in the sixth-grade choir. I continued choir throughout middle school, high school, and university while also doing voice lessons since freshman year. I still take lessons now, as I believe there's always room for improvement!
When I started college, I was serious about getting not only a bachelor's degree in music but a master's degree as well, and I accomplished both! During that time, I had the privilege of traveling all over the state with the Texas A&M University-Commerce choir to get kids interested in keeping music in their core no matter how their lives unfolded. I also had the honor of performing solo in front of others as well as premiering new songs with the choir.
+ Amari Pevehouse, DRUM lessons
Hi, I'm Amari! I have been passionate about drums for as long as I can remember. My love for music started when I was just 3 years old, thanks to my godparents, who gifted me a toy drum set. By the time I was 8, my parents surprised me with a real drum set, and that is when everything clicked. I started playing in my local church when I was 12, which laid the foundation for my career as a drummer.
